Provisional research edition FIS + market confidence review
Snapshot prepared 03 October 2026 · 11:37 BST. Sources accessed during this research session. Bookmaker publication/quote times were not supplied. No official starting elevens were obtained.
Highest to lowest: provisional FIS worksheet
Matches are ordered by their higher team worksheet score. Ties are preserved; alphabetical order breaks display ties only. These rankings do not identify the most likely loser.
| Rank | Fixture | Home / Away provisional FIS | Delta H−A | Market to investigate | PCS / confidence / fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| =1 | Burton Albion v Huddersfield Town | 50.0 / 50.0 | 0.0 | Burton +0.5 | Not assigned · Low · PENDING |
| =1 | Leyton Orient v Plymouth Argyle | 50.0 / 50.0 | 0.0 | Plymouth +0.5 | Not assigned · Low · PENDING |
| 3 | Reading v Bradford City | 47.5 / 47.5 | 0.0 | Reading Draw No Bet | Not assigned · Low · INSUFFICIENT INTELLIGENCE |
No contextual leader clears 60. The missing evidence prevents a stronger ordering. A 50 prior means “unresolved”, not verified neutral football circumstances; 47.5 reflects the information penalty only. No worksheet figure is a win or loss percentage.
Market reference: one bookmaker, margin removed
Betfred Insights League One coupon, retrieved 3 October. These are page snapshots, not a live executable betslip. H/D/A probabilities use proportional normalization: (1/odds) ÷ sum(1/odds).
| Fixture | Decimal H / D / A | No-margin H / D / A | Overround |
|---|---|---|---|
| Burton Albion v Huddersfield Town | 3.40 / 3.60 / 2.05 | 27.8% / 26.2% / 46.0% | 5.97% |
| Leyton Orient v Plymouth Argyle | 3.10 / 3.75 / 2.15 | 30.6% / 25.3% / 44.1% | 5.44% |
| Reading v Bradford City | 2.05 / 3.50 / 3.50 | 46.1% / 27.0% / 27.0% | 5.92% |
Independent baseline: unavailable for all three matches. The figures above are a market anchor only. They do not establish value, satisfy the three-price protocol, or substitute for model probabilities. The coupon also lists rearranged fixtures on the original date; current fixtures were checked separately using Sky and EFL.
Joint rank 1 · 15:00 BST
Burton Albion v Huddersfield Town
Thesis to test: Burton’s reported home resilience makes Burton +0.5 a useful challenger to a market favouring Huddersfield. A draw would satisfy this proposition; any Huddersfield win would defeat it. This is a research question, not a recommendation.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Burton were reported unbeaten in four home league games, with one win and three draws.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Huddersfield’s preview lists Whatmough and several midfield injury concerns. Burton have Lewis unavailable and other defensive questions. These are reported inputs, not confirmed XIs or assessed replacement quality.
- 3 October, price snapshot: Huddersfield 2.05 is the shortest 1X2 quote in the retrieved coupon. The no-margin away anchor remains below 50%; being favourite does not establish a confident win.
Failure case: If Huddersfield’s midfield replacements maintain ball progression and pressure, Burton’s short home unbeaten sample may offer little protection. Burton defensive absences may undermine the same thesis.
| Scenario | Effect on Burton +0.5 |
|---|---|
| Expected: visitors control possession | Survives only if Burton limit clear chances and retain a scoring route. |
| Adverse: Huddersfield score first | Can fail; no validated recovery model supports confidence. |
| Lineup surprise: weakened Burton defence | Remove the positive home-resilience thesis and rerun the analysis. |
PCS: not assigned. Market Fit: PENDING. Uncertainty: High. Exact +0.5 odds, official XIs, minutes/rest data and an independent model are missing. Chronology wording in the preview is insufficient for a fatigue adjustment.
Joint rank 1 · 15:00 BST
Leyton Orient v Plymouth Argyle
Thesis to test: Plymouth +0.5 expresses an away-side direction while allowing a draw. Their recent away scoring is a lead to investigate, but does not prove a tactical advantage or a goals bet.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Plymouth had consecutive away wins, 4–2 at Blackpool and 3–2 at Doncaster, before losing 0–1 at home to Burton.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Orient’s latest reported league result was a 1–0 win over Stevenage. Their recent home sequence did not consistently produce multiple goals.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Demetri Mitchell was reported injured; Julio Pleguezuelo required assessment. Projected replacements are not confirmation of the football impact.
- 3 October, price snapshot: Plymouth 2.15 is the shortest quote, but the no-margin away anchor is below 50%.
Failure case: Orient can disrupt Plymouth’s progression and expose a changed defensive role. Two productive away games are a small sample and cannot establish reliable chance quality.
| Scenario | Effect on Plymouth +0.5 |
|---|---|
| Expected: Plymouth create regularly | Compatible with an away result; requires chance-quality evidence. |
| Adverse: Orient score first and lower tempo | Can fail if Plymouth cannot break a settled block. |
| Lineup surprise: defensive replacement changes build-up | Reassess both ball progression and transition protection. |
PCS: not assigned. Market Fit: PENDING. Uncertainty: High. Exact handicap price, confirmed roles, travel/rest load and an independent baseline remain unresolved.
Rank 3 · 15:00 BST
Reading v Bradford City
Thesis to test: Reading Draw No Bet combines a home attacking case with draw protection. Bradford’s defensive results and information conflicts substantially weaken conviction.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Reading had three home league wins; Marriott was reported to have eight goals in seven league appearances.
- 1 October, Sports Mole: Bradford had five clean sheets in seven league games and a reported interim coaching arrangement.
- 1–2 October, conflicting previews: Sports Mole lists Rinomhota away internationally while also including him in a projected XI. The Tilehurst End reports his return. McCracken’s availability is also inconsistent between previews.
- 3 October, price snapshot: Reading 2.05 is the shortest quote. This is a bookmaker view, not corroboration of disputed team news.
Failure case: Bradford’s structure suppresses Reading’s chances, or disputed midfield/goalkeeper availability changes the matchup. The home attacking sample alone cannot establish a price edge.
| Scenario | Effect on Reading DNB |
|---|---|
| Expected: Reading sustain home pressure | Compatible with a home win; a draw returns the stake under standard DNB rules. |
| Adverse: Bradford score first and defend compactly | Can lose; no validated comeback estimate is available. |
| Lineup surprise: disputed players unavailable | Thesis must be rebuilt. Information floor currently fails for both teams. |
PCS: not assigned. Market Fit: INSUFFICIENT INTELLIGENCE. Uncertainty: High. Provisional integrity 25 is below the strategy’s required 50; no context-led selection qualifies.

Score calculation and uncertainty
The supplied Strategy 5 v2.0 weights are retained. Subscores use its 0/25/50/75/100 scale. This edition adds a disclosed neutral-prior worksheet convention for missing inputs; that convention is not a rule in the supplied PDF. Completed FIS remains pending. General previews are Tier 3 leads and have not been used to create positive football adjustments.
| Component | Weight | Burton / Huddersfield / Orient / Plymouth | Reading / Bradford | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stakes & incentives | 18% | 50 prior | 50 prior | No verified objective-plus-mechanism adjustment. |
| Availability & lineup leverage | 22% | 50 prior | 50 prior | Official roles and replacement quality incomplete. |
| Recovery, travel & rotation | 15% | 50 prior | 50 prior | Minutes, travel and depth not established. |
| Tactical & managerial fit | 15% | 50 prior | 50 prior | Results do not establish observed tactical mechanisms. |
| Club environment | 10% | 50 prior | 50 prior | No corroborated impact on performance. |
| Information integrity | 10% | 50 provisional | 25 provisional | Limited corroboration; Reading/Bradford have material conflicts. |
| Market intelligence | 10% | 50 prior | 50 prior | One coupon; no three-price comparison or priced-news attribution. |
| Weighted worksheet total | 100% | 50.0 each | 47.5 each | Sum(weight × subscore) / 100. |
Sensitivity: 90% of the FIS weight is filled by unresolved priors. Letting those inputs span 0–100 gives a purely mathematical range of 5–95 for the first four teams and 2.5–92.5 for Reading/Bradford. These are not statistical confidence intervals. The very wide ranges show why a strong numerical ranking would be misleading.
PCS requirements still missing: independent baseline agreement (30%), three-price benchmark and exact-market assessment (20%), lineup certainty (15%), quantitative scenario robustness (20%), verified context support (10%) and price stability (5%). The qualitative scripts above identify risks; they do not calculate probabilities. No minimum entry odds or expected return is assigned.
Fixture exclusions and next checks
Sky lists Wigan–Mansfield and Peterborough–Notts County postponed for international call-ups; Luton–Doncaster, Bromley–Wycombe, Barnsley–MK Dons and Wimbledon–Stevenage are postponed with “Other” as the listed reason. Sheffield Wednesday–Cambridge and Oxford–Stockport are listed for 27 October; Blackpool–Leicester for 24 November. These games are excluded from this card.
- Resolve squad availability from official club updates and confirmed starting elevens.
- Supply or lock the independent model specification; obtain three comparable bookmaker prices and exact proposition quotes.
- Replace each prior with sourced football evidence, calculate PCS and rerun all Market Fit gates.
- Append any later update as a separate timestamped snapshot; keep this original record unchanged.
Source record
Framework: user-supplied Situation(1).pdf, Strategy 5 v2.0, updated 20 September 2026. Fixtures: EFL appointments, 29 September and Sky League One, accessed 3 October. Price source: Betfred Insights, accessed 3 October. Match preview dates and links appear beside each dossier. These general previews remain leads pending stronger corroboration.
Protocol status: incomplete. Narratives were researched before a full three-price capture; this report does not claim the required execution sequence was satisfied. No calibrated win/loss forecasts, validated value bets or accumulator recommendations are claimed.
League Two Accumulators — Four-Report Refresh · 3 October 2026
Accumulator refresh · 3 October 2026
This refresh covers today’s four League Two reports: Situational Match Analysis, Asian Handicap, First-Half Goals and Poisson Value. It adds concrete accumulator combinations and refreshes the price comparisons. All remain provisional research tickets, with no validated combined edge or stake recommendation.
The principal protected-result option is Salford draw no bet + Grimsby draw no bet + Rochdale draw no bet. The first-half pair is Accrington–Cheltenham + Grimsby–Shrewsbury, both Over 0.5 first-half goals. The value-model treble uses Crewe, Grimsby and Rochdale to win.
These tickets express different strategies. Do not combine every report into one giant accumulator: the selections overlap, and the reports disagree about Salford’s value and Crewe’s outright-win case.
What was refreshed
- Today’s eight-match League Two card was rechecked against Sky. Chesterfield–Tranmere starts at 12:30 BST; the other seven at 15:00 BST. No additional cancellation was identified in that listing.
- Added Oddschecker draw-no-bet quotes for Salford, Grimsby, Rochdale, Crewe and Gillingham.
- Repriced the value-model combinations using a Coral match-result coupon, rather than multiplying mixed best prices.
- Betfred Chesterfield–Tranmere now displays Over 0.5 first-half goals at 2/7 (1.286), versus the previous report’s 1/3 (1.333). This is a snapshot difference, not a verified opening-to-current movement series. The five-point hurdle rises from 80.00% to 82.78%.
Historical inputs and first-half counts have not been replaced with new observations. The earlier eight-game/seven-game freshness conflict remains unresolved. Official starting teams are still pending; no new injury adjustment or calibrated confidence percentage is invented.
1 · Situational Match Analysis
Use draw no bet (Asian Handicap 0.0) for every leg. These follow the situational report’s home-side research order, with Crewe and Gillingham added only to the longer variants.
| Ticket | Selections, all draw no bet | Indicative all-win decimal | Return per £1 if every leg wins |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-fold | Salford + Grimsby + Rochdale | 2.755 | £2.76 |
| 4-fold | Salford + Grimsby + Rochdale + Crewe | 6.061 | £6.06 |
| 5-fold | Salford + Grimsby + Rochdale + Crewe + Gillingham | 9.294 | £9.29 |
Salford and Grimsby have the strongest qualitative home cases; Rochdale’s defensive absences limit confidence. Crewe’s six draws favour protection over an outright win. Gillingham is the weakest extension here, with reported absences and a credible Newport countercase. The fivefold is the most speculative version.
Oddschecker DNB coupon: Salford 2/7, Grimsby 2/7, Rochdale 4/6, Crewe 6/5, Gillingham 8/15. Comparison quotes may come from different bookmakers. Their product is indicative and may not be available together at one bookmaker.
2 · Asian Handicap report
Preserve the Asian report’s preferred protective lines:
| Ticket | Selections | Indicative decimal | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Double | Salford 0.0 + Grimsby 0.0 | 1.653 | DNB comparison quotes retrieved |
| Treble | Double + Cheltenham +0.25 at Accrington | Unpriced | Quarter-line quote not verified |
| Fourfold | Treble + Crewe +0.25 v Bristol Rovers | Unpriced | Quarter-line quote not verified |
| Fivefold | Fourfold + Gillingham 0.0 v Newport | Unpriced | Lower-confidence extension |
The +0.25 positions keep the original draw protection: half the stake is on 0.0 and half on +0.5. A draw produces a half-win. Do not substitute a straight win or a three-way handicap without reassessing settlement and price.
Cheltenham’s high league position conflicts with a market favouring Accrington; their defensive pressure is another concern. This is a watchlist leg, not an established edge. The Salford/Grimsby double overlaps the situational tickets; they are not independent additional exposure. No combined price is supplied for the longer tickets because the required quarter-line quotes are missing.
3 · First-Half Goal Index
For every leg select Over 0.5 first-half goals, meaning at least one goal by either team before half-time, including first-half stoppage time.
| Ticket | Matches | Combined odds |
|---|---|---|
| Double | Accrington–Cheltenham + Grimsby–Shrewsbury | Not verified |
| Treble | Double + Chesterfield–Tranmere | Not verified |
| Fourfold | Treble + Rochdale–Swindon | Not verified |
The double uses the strongest descriptive screens from the report. Chesterfield and Rochdale are the next historical-rate candidates. These are requested accumulator ideas outside the strategy’s default preference for singles. None clears its full gates. Required first-half xG, attacking evidence, scoring/conceding splits and confirmed lineups remain incomplete; FIS stays NO SCORE.
Only Chesterfield’s exact first-half quote was refreshed: 2/7 requires 77.78% break-even and at least 82.78% independent model probability for the five-point rule. A historical 75% mean cannot satisfy that requirement. No prices for the other first-half legs have been verified, so there is no honest combined-odds or return figure.
Do not add Gillingham–Newport: both teams exceed the strategy’s 35% 0–0 half-time rejection threshold in both collected snapshots. Do not use full-match Over 0.5 odds as first-half odds. The treble and fourfold close before Chesterfield’s 12:30 BST kick-off.
4 · Poisson Value Model
The source strategy is designed for singles. These are user-requested accumulator variants, not a claim that its singles method validates multiples. Use standard 90-minute match winners.
| Ticket | Selections to win | Coral snapshot decimal | Return per £1 if all win |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-fold | Crewe + Grimsby + Rochdale | 11.475 | £11.47 |
| 4-fold | Crewe + Grimsby + Rochdale + Gillingham | 23.524 | £23.52 |
Crewe is the most stable disagreement with the market in the earlier report. Grimsby and Rochdale retain substantial model uncertainty from four-game venue samples; smoothing removes the zero-goal artefact in Swindon’s raw input. Gillingham is an optional fourth leg, subject to lineup checks.
Rechecked prices: Crewe 2/1, Grimsby 7/10, Rochdale 5/4, Gillingham 21/20, from the Coral coupon. The earlier retained k=8 model probabilities are 51.5%, 65.5%, 61.5% and 53.7%, respectively. Their refreshed individual probability edges are approximately 18.17, 6.68, 17.06 and 4.92 percentage points. Gillingham therefore falls just short of the five-point hurdle at 2.05, using rounded retained probabilities: exclude it for a strict qualifying treble and treat the fourfold as an illustrative higher-risk option only.
No fivefold is supported without adding a weak or disputed outcome. Salford’s short home price does not clear the value-model hurdle despite its favourable situational form. Cheltenham and the Exeter/Salford draws fail the report’s stronger smoothing test. Tranmere’s refreshed Betfred 4.50 price leaves only about 3.58 points of edge against the retained 25.8% model estimate, also below the hurdle.
The retained k=8 probabilities have not been recalibrated or refitted. Multiplying them under independence would give roughly 20.7% for the treble and 11.1% for the fourfold; those are uncalibrated model scenarios, not confidence ratings or verified hit rates. Shared model error can affect all legs.
Settlement and exposure
A DNB draw normally voids that leg and removes its multiplier; a losing leg still loses the accumulator. Quarter-handicap legs can split the ticket into settlement branches. The displayed all-win return is not what a drawn or half-winning ticket necessarily pays. Check your bookmaker’s rules, maximum payouts and market availability.
The tickets overlap heavily. Backing the threefold, fourfold and fivefold does not diversify exposure; it repeatedly backs the same teams. Likewise, a first-half goal ticket and a match-winner ticket involving the same match may be correlated. Do not multiply overlapping tickets into a purported cross-strategy probability.
No stake is approved by the incomplete research. Shorter tickets avoid adding unsupported legs. Recheck official XIs 45–75 minutes before kick-off, obtain one bookmaker’s actual prices, and rerun the relevant strategy’s gate. Bet amounts in the return columns are arithmetic illustrations, not staking advice.
Sources and limits
Refresh prepared on 3 October 2026 after 10:20 BST, before kick-off. Source retrieval time is not the bookmaker’s quote timestamp. The value and situational source files were read in their current versions; the Asian and first-half report sources from this session were reused. New market snapshots were reviewed separately.
Sources: Sky fixtures, Oddschecker DNB, Coral match winners, Betfred Chesterfield. Original match-specific news and statistical limits remain in the underlying reports.
No official starting elevens, comprehensive new injury/manager-change checks, complete first-half xG, executable betslip prices or calibrated joint-outcome model was obtained. Price arithmetic was checked. No bets were placed.
