Method used
The uploaded Strategy 5 framework scores seven contextual categories: stakes & incentives (18%), availability & lineup leverage (22%), recovery/travel/rotation (15%), tactical & managerial fit (15%), club environment (10%), information integrity (10%) and market intelligence (10%). Each category uses the 0/25/50/75/100 anchors corresponding to -2/-1/0/+1/+2.
In keeping with the methodology, the FIS is not converted directly into a win probability. Where a public baseline model was available, it is shown separately. For Sturm Graz-Rennes and Sunderland-AZ, the probabilities are clearly marked as provisional estimates rather than bookmaker-derived fair prices.
Ararat-Armenia vs Sparta Prague
Baseline: Ararat-Armenia 36.6% | Draw 24.3% | Sparta Prague 39.0%
Outcome lean: Sparta Prague slight outcome lean; Ararat-Armenia stronger situational context
This is the clearest example of why Strategy 5 separates context from baseline strength. Ararat-Armenia arrive with back-to-back clean-sheet wins, a strong recent European home record and no major new fitness concerns. Sparta have the stronger underlying pedigree and a narrow baseline edge, but carry a much heavier absence list, including a suspension and several injuries/doubts. The contextual score therefore favours Ararat even though the outcome model still gives Sparta the narrowest edge.
Main drivers: Ararat home-European momentum; healthy squad; Sparta suspension/injury load; Sparta still possess the stronger talent/pedigree baseline.
Key risk / disconfirming case: The FIS edge is not a win probability. Sparta won both competitive meetings last season and may still have enough quality to overcome the contextual disadvantage.

Sturm Graz vs Rennes
Baseline: Provisional model estimate: Sturm 30% | Draw 30% | Rennes 40%
Outcome lean: Rennes
Rennes bring the cleaner contextual profile. They are unbeaten in their opening Ligue 1 matches and have a full squad available, while Sturm have multiple absences and uncertainty around Seedy Jatta. Sturm's home-European record gives them a live route into the match, but Rennes' availability and current momentum create the stronger situational case.
Main drivers: Rennes unbeaten domestic start; full squad available; Sturm injuries/squad omissions; Sturm's home European resilience moderates the gap.
Key risk / disconfirming case: Rennes have kept few clean sheets, so a comfortable away win is far from certain.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Celje
Baseline: Leverkusen 57.1% | Draw 22.4% | Celje 20.5%
Outcome lean: Bayer Leverkusen
Leverkusen own the strongest combined baseline-plus-context case on the card. They have been scoring freely and retain a strong BayArena record. Celje arrive after four defeats in five and a managerial departure immediately before the fixture. Leverkusen do have injuries in central and attacking areas, but the visitors' tactical and club-environment disruption is more severe.
Main drivers: Leverkusen attacking output; home strength; Celje four losses in five; Celje manager departure; Celje suspension.
Key risk / disconfirming case: Leverkusen's own defensive volatility has appeared this season, so the scoreline could be less comfortable than the matchup suggests.

Omonia vs Celta Vigo
Baseline: Omonia 44.4% | Draw 25.8% | Celta 29.8%
Outcome lean: Omonia / Draw
Omonia's context is meaningfully stronger. They have won all three European home matches this season, while Celta are still looking for their first La Liga win and are missing Iago Aspas, with several other players doubtful. Omonia have some injury concerns of their own, but the Cypriot side's home-European performance and Celta's attacking problems justify the sizeable FIS differential.
Main drivers: Three European home wins; Celta winless in league play; Aspas ruled out; several Celta doubts; Omonia's defensive recent profile.
Key risk / disconfirming case: Omonia have also struggled for goals in recent domestic matches, so a low-scoring draw remains a strong alternative.

AC Milan vs Benfica
Baseline: Milan 31.3% | Draw 24.9% | Benfica 43.9%
Outcome lean: Benfica slight lean
This is the highest-quality matchup and the least separated by FIS. Milan are unbeaten under Ruben Amorim and could have a clean bill of health, while Benfica arrive on a seven-match winning streak and have scored freely. Context is essentially balanced; Benfica's current momentum gives them only a tiny FIS edge, so the stronger reason for a Benfica lean comes from the separate baseline model, not from FIS.
Main drivers: Benfica seven straight wins; Milan unbeaten under new coach; Milan health improving; both sides carry high-level attacking quality.
Key risk / disconfirming case: The FIS differential is negligible. This is not a strong context-led selection.

Anderlecht vs Lyon
Baseline: Anderlecht 43.7% | Draw 25.6% | Lyon 30.7%
Outcome lean: Anderlecht / Draw
Anderlecht have excellent European home momentum, winning all three home qualifiers and scoring three in each, but their defensive availability is weakened by multiple injuries. Lyon arrive in more stable squad condition and are unbeaten in three Ligue 1 matches. FIS gives Lyon a modest context edge, while the separate baseline model still prefers Anderlecht at home. That conflict lowers confidence.
Main drivers: Anderlecht home-European scoring; defensive absences; Lyon steadier availability; Lyon three-match unbeaten league run.
Key risk / disconfirming case: The baseline and contextual layers point in different directions. This is a strong candidate for abstention or draw-oriented thinking.

Olympiacos vs Jagiellonia Bialystok
Baseline: Olympiacos 58.2% | Draw 22.4% | Jagiellonia 19.4%
Outcome lean: Olympiacos outcome lean; Jagiellonia context edge
The sharpest baseline-versus-context conflict on the card. Olympiacos are strong home favourites in the data model, but their situational picture is poor: a recent managerial change, a defeat in the new coach's first match, Ayoub El Kaabi injured, Fortounis suspended and reduced squad options. Jagiellonia have fewer availability problems. FIS therefore favours the visitors, but it should not override Olympiacos' much stronger underlying home baseline.
Main drivers: Olympiacos managerial transition; El Kaabi injury; Fortounis suspension; Jagiellonia healthier squad; powerful Olympiacos home/team-strength baseline.
Key risk / disconfirming case: This is exactly the type of match where using FIS as a direct prediction engine would be a methodological error.

Sunderland vs AZ Alkmaar
Baseline: Provisional model estimate: Sunderland 34% | Draw 29% | AZ 37%
Outcome lean: AZ Alkmaar / Draw
AZ enter with the stronger form profile after an unbeaten domestic start, while Sunderland have been inconsistent and carry injuries plus several Europa League squad omissions. AZ are not fully healthy either, with Kees Smit and other players unavailable, and their historical record against English opposition is poor. The contextual edge is real but not large.
Main drivers: AZ unbeaten domestic run; Sunderland mixed start; both teams have important absences; Stadium of Light atmosphere and AZ's poor record in England reduce confidence.
Key risk / disconfirming case: Sunderland's home energy and stronger league environment can neutralise AZ's form advantage.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva vs Dinamo Zagreb
Baseline: Hapoel 34.7% | Draw 23.7% | Dinamo 41.7%
Outcome lean: Dinamo Zagreb
Dinamo hold both the baseline and context edge. Hapoel Be'er Sheva are without two suspended players and key forward Dan Biton, who scored 15 league goals last season. Dinamo have omissions of their own, but Dion Beljo's strong scoring start gives them a clear attacking reference point. Hapoel's recent 2-0 win helps, yet their early domestic form remains uneven.
Main drivers: Hapoel suspensions; Biton absent; Dinamo's Beljo in strong scoring form; baseline also leans Dinamo.
Key risk / disconfirming case: Dinamo themselves were beaten 4-2 by Osijek last time out, so defensive reliability remains a concern.

Bottom line
Leverkusen have the cleanest combination of baseline strength and supportive context. Rennes and Omonia have strong contextual cases. Benfica-Milan is close on context despite the baseline leaning Benfica. Olympiacos-Jagiellonia is a classic abstention-style matchup because the home baseline and the situational layer disagree sharply.
